The Grand Ole Opry is the show that made country music famous. Grand Ole Opry shows are performed every weekend and on Tuesdays March - December. Since 1925, country’s best have mesmerized audiences at the Opry. While performances from both legendary entertainers and the latest country music acts are the norm, when you go to the Opry, you’ll also enjoy great bluegrass, comedy, and more.

The list of current Grand Ole Opry members includes such stars as Little Jimmy Dickens, Loretta Lynn, Brad Paisley, Connie Smith and Carrie Underwood, all of whom return regularly to sing on the same spot—- a round, 6-foot piece of oak wood at center stage. Cut from the Ryman Auditorium stage (the show’s home 1943-74), the circle pays tribute to the country icons-- Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, and Roy Acuff among them-- who have entertained millions of fans from that very spot.

Grand Ole Opry Duets

The Show That Made Country Music Famous spotlights live versions of some of country music’s iconic duos (Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn, Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton) as well as artists for whom live versions of collaborative efforts are extremely rare (Glen Campbell and Steve Wariner, Ricky Skaggs and Emmylou Harris). The duos included here have won the Country Music Association Award for Vocal Duo of the Year a total of seven times.  Each track was recorded live at the Grand Ole Opry.

Our Kind Of Country features today’s superstar members of the Grand Ole Opry and the studio versions of some of their all-time biggest hits. Every artist is a Grand Ole Opry member, from Reba McEntire (member since 1985) to Blake Shelton (member since 2010).
